Describe your experience with Gyn & Fert Specialists.
The clinic is awesome. It is welcoming from the beginning the end. They are always quick to get me scheduled when it is convenient for me due to the long drive. They always answer the phone with kindness and follow through with requests and questions.
During treatment, did you feel like you were treated like a number or a human?
Dr. Hanafi is a great dr and is focused on my individual care and success to get pregnant. He remembers me each time I come in and is working very hard to do the best treatment possible that we can afford. He is very positive about pregnancy outcomes and tries every month to encourage me.

Kaley has always been very knowledgeable and helpful with all the questions I have. She lifts me up when I have been down about the monthly unsuccessful attempts to get pregnant. She is very compassionate and careful with her words during the hard times.
How was your experience with Magdi M. Hanafi?
All of Dr. Hanafi's techs are compassionate and encouraging. We have had unsuccessfull attempts to get pregnant each month. Dr. Hanafi spends a lot of time with me each time I see him. He is very explanatory with the ultrasounds and medications that I try each month. He has offered other procedure that have higher success of pregnancy and understands our financial status and works with me each month. I appreciate him and all that he has done for us and I feel strongly that he will make pregnancy a success any way that he can.
What one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Magdi M. Hanafi?
If you are looking for a encouraging, hands on, one on one attentive dr then Dr. Hanafi is who you should see. He doesn't stop trying each month. He is always putting your health as a number priority and offers a lot of different treatments for achieving pregnancy.
Describe the protocols Magdi M. Hanafi used in your cycles and their degree of success.
I started seeing Dr. Hanafi in November 2016. After one ultrasound he suggested maybe having surgery to remove a septum and my uterus. He stated that if I were to get pregnant it would be a risky pregnancy and possibly wouldn't be carried to term. So I went through with having the surgery and while he was in there he cleaned out my uterus of any scaring and cysts. After eight weeks we we're cleared to start trying. He put me on Femara since I do not respond to clomid. Each month since November I have done femara and trigger shots every other month. I have had to chemical pregnancies but have not achieved pregnancy yet. He has offered to do IUI but at the times we have not been financially able to afford it. He is very encouraging and offers different ways of paying for the procedures so we might pursue the IUI very soon. Due to me having Cystic Fibrosis it is already hard for me to conceive. The mucus in my lungs is back therefore it is thicker throughout my whole body making it harder for the sperm and eggs to get where they need to be in my uterus. We remain hopeful that we will a cheap pregnancy and hoping that we can some day do IVF.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Magdi M. Hanafi.
Their office has filed all of my visits and testing to my insurance so I have no had any left over costs for that. I have had to pay for the trigger shots and will have to pay for any other procedures going forward. For the procedures they have always been willing to work with me with payments. That is very stress relieving and appreciative.
